Embedded Wireless Labs worked with the Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC), the industry regulator in Malaysia, to realise the challenge of building the ASEANConnect knowledge management platform to enable ASEAN countries to share expertise to develop and collate common ICT indicators.
 ASEANConnect is an ASEAN-wide initiative to create a platform for information exchange on ASEAN ICT policy development and regulation. It addresses universal access and digital divide issues in ASEAN by establishing a knowledge base of fixed key indicators for countries to learn from each other by sharing information and analyses of national initiatives.
We designed a web-based content management system with a front-end interface for general information. Secure user-accessed pages featured more detailed reporting systems, graph generators and search capabilities.
The front-end interface is managed via a content-management backend system accessible to ASEAN-wide national regulatory authorities. The content management system is secured with user-level access to allow administrators and content managers and specially non-technical resources from national regulatory bodies to access, create, share and update information.
