Embedded Wireless Labs Among MSC Companies Honoured at MSC Malaysia Achievement Event 2009

Kuala Lumpur - Embedded Wireless Labs was one of the 64 Malaysia Status companies honoured by Multimedia Development Corporation (MDeC), the driver of MSC Malaysia’s National ICT Initiative, for achieving global standard certifications in the MSC Malaysia Achievement Event 2009 (AE09) gala ceremony and dinner at the KL Hilton recently.
MSC Malaysia CDP “Innovate My Process” initiative had seen participation by 250 MSC Malaysia Status companies in 20 programmes to address, the key areas of customer service, systematic innovation, cost optimisation, process improvement, product
performance enhancement, and brand management among others.

The 64 MSC companies achieved certifications in Six Sigma, CMMI (Capability Maturity Model Integration), the ISO20000 (Information Technology Service Management), the ISO27001 (Information Security Management System), Software Testing, and Professional Development. The MSC Malaysia CDP Six Sigma was a programme that evolved significantly under “Innovate My Process” initiative and the benefits derived from the programme, led the twelve participating MSC companies to project that they will collectively save RM3.13 million annually.
Embedded Wireless Labs was one of companies that achieved certification in Six Sigma as its Project Managers Christian Kumar and Faizal Sanusi successfully graduated from the Six Sigma Green Belt programme last. Their Six Sigma project - Six Sigma in Corporate Website Visitor Traffic, was also one of two projects showcased during the Six Sigma Graduation ceremony. EWL’s Senior Vice President GU Renukanand who as the Six Sigma Project Champion, extended valuable support to the project, represented EWL at the Achievement Event.

Client Sharing Session during cocktails before MSC Malaysia Capability Development Achievement Event 2009 |
The MSC Malaysia Capability Development Achievement Event 2009 kicked off with a companies like Paradigm Systems, Pentasoft Malaysia, Macrokiosk and ISM Insurance Services Malaysia participating in a Client Sharing Session during cocktails. This was followed by press conference where MDeC CEO Datuk Badlisham Ghazali, COO Ng Wan Peng and Head of Capability Development Department Dr. Karl Ng fielded questions from journalists
The 64 companies were feted to a gala dinner with Guest of honour, Deputy Minister of Science, Technology and Innovation YB Tuan Haji Fadillah Haji Yusof and MDeC Chief Executive Officer Datuk Badlisham Ghazali.

The climax of the evening was the Award Presentation ceremony where the 64 companied were honoured for their achievements. Embedded Wireless Labs Senior Vice President GU Renukanand received the Achievement Event 2009 honours and letter of recognition from the Guest of Honour, Deputy Minister of Science, Technology and Innovation YB Tuan Haji Fadillah Haji Yusof and MDeC Chief Executive Officer Datuk Badlisham Ghazali. The evening ended with a Group photography session.
It was another feather in EWL’s cap to end 2009 on a high.
